OUR STORY
How We Met
JB moved to Beacon in 2010 & met Jenny when he bought a set of rainbow stacking coffee cups from her shop, Dream in Plastic. The two immediately bonded over music and had great chats when he would stop in. If you know JB, you know how all cashiers are powerless against his charm, Jenny included. It gets him discounts all the time, and in this case, it got him a date.
We tried dating a few times over the course of the next few years.
Sometimes things take time.... like figuring out you should be together forever. We kept finding ourselves back together and at the end of 2013, we made it an official thing.
The Proposal
May 2017: So many people showed up to Jenny's birthday party. She assumed it was because the party was at Hudson Valley Brewery and their beer is fantastic. Never did it cross her mind that JB had clued some people in as to what he was about to do. As he started what appeared to be a really awkward birthday toast, she didn't even notice the song that was playing or she may have known what was about to happen.
Present Day
Today we live in a house in Beacon, NY with 2 pups Hazel & Foggy, and a lot of vinyl records. When we aren't working in our respective awesome independent retail shops, we are together seeking out vegan food, concerts, and road trip / camping adventures.

A few moments later he was on one knee with a gorgeous Herkimer diamond ring in a little blue box. Jenny carefully put down her beer and accepted.
